The story of Pinocchio is great for children as it helps them appreciate values such as honesty and love. Mangiafuoco captures him but Pinocchio frees himself and he is finally reunited with his dad Geppetto. Later, he encounters the dishonest fox and cat who convince him to go to the puppet show where he meets the master Mangiafuoco. When Pinocchio is asked by the shop assistant if the money was for the cakes he lies and his nose starts to grow. One day Pinocchio goes out to do some shopping but gets persuaded by Lucignolo to use the money (Geppetto gave him)to buy cakes instead of food. Geppetto is overwhelmed when his puppet called Pinocchio becomes a real boy. Geppetto lives with his cat Figaro, fish Cleo and the talking cricket. “Once upon a time there was a carpenter called Geppetto”.
